The Metroplex Technology Business Council (MTBC) honored CARR Law Firm PLLC by naming the intellectual property law firm a Technology Advocate finalist in the 11th annual Tech Titans Awards. The Innovation Competition at SMU
In partnership with the Caruth Institute for Engineering at SMU, CARR is the founding sponsor of the university’s Innovation Competition. Open to all SMU students, the multi-stage competition is designed to inspire students to create a solution to a real world problem. Finalists are provided funding, faculty support and workspace in SMU’s new Innovation Gymnasium to develop their idea into fully-built prototype.

Southwest Venture Forum
CARR frequently serves as a sponsor for this non-profit forum presented by the Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship at SMU. The Southwest Venture Forum is a bimonthly breakfast meeting where entrepreneurs looking to start or expand their businesses meet with venture investors and the professional community to solicit financing and obtain advice.
North Dallas Chamber of Commerce & Greater Dallas Chamber
As part of a commitment to help develop a dynamic business and community environment, CARR is an active member of both the Greater Dallas Chamber (supporting the eight-county Metroplex) and the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce (supporting businesses from downtown to north city limits).
Arts District Friends
With a keen interest in supporting the vitality of downtown Dallas, CARR serves as a sponsor for Arts District Friends, the largest urban cultural district in the U.S. Arts District Friends champions various interests of the Dallas Arts District and organizes cultural events through which the community may participate and become familiar with arts and the art community.
March of Dimes WalkAmerica - North Texas
Lawyers of the firm helped raise over $80,000 through the March of Dimes WalkAmerica Week in North Texas. Comprised of over 70 area CEOs, the team developed in 2002 as a way for small and medium sized businesses to raise money for the charity. The goal is to secure 250 CEOs raising $250,000 each year.
Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, Inc.
CARR has provided pro bono legal services to secure the trademark for the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, Inc. logo. The Ronald McDonald House offers a home away from home for families who have traveled to the Metroplex seeking medical care for their children.
North Texas Food Bank
CARR has provided pro bono legal counsel for the North Texas Food Bank. The organization seeks to eliminate Hunger by distributing food and grocery products through a network of nonprofit organizations.
Dallas City Homes
Through pro bono legal counsel, CARR has supported Dallas City Homes.
Baal Dan
CARR is proud to support Dallas-based charity Baal Dan. Baal Dan’s mission is to help street children, slum children, and orphans in India as directly and efficiently as possible, while investing in ways to provide these children with an education. Since its founding in 2006, more than 1,500 children in India have received aid from Baal Dan.
The Chief Executive Officers' Club
CARR is a proud member of the CEO Club, a nonprofit 501-c-3 organization created to support CEOs dedicated to organizational improvement through shared experience and personal growth. A worldwide organization, the CEO Club has included celebrated leaders such as Steve Forbes, Michael Bloomberg, and Ted Turner. At its core, the club nurtures and educates leaders, enabling them to achieve their goals.
